Guy commenced his career as a Mechanical & Electrical Engineer in the Royal Air Force in the U.K. Since immigrating to Australia he has worked in a number of Senior Operations, General management and Quality Management roles, in a diverse range of industries including: Paper, Steel, Medical Devices, Automotive and FMCG for both Digital Equipment & Baby feeding product lines. Tuff Tonneaus are committed to the 'Lean Philosophy' having introduced the concept back in 2007 and since that time they have benefitted from the significant process improvements made.

Barry's career highlights include Plant Manager and Continuous Improvement Manager at Goodman Fielder and his current position with Toyota. Barry has worked with the Manufacturing, Sales and Corporate Arms of Toyota in Australia.
With a grounded engineering background Barry has also implemented continuous improvement in food processing, manufacturing, packaging, printing, and front of house food service and management.
In addition to the practical experience Barry has completed a Master degree in Applied Positive Psychology, Graduate Diploma in Business, Diploma of Training and Assessment, Diploma in Competitive Systems and Practices. Interestingly Barry’s first degree was civil engineering.

Amanda currently balances a range of business mentoring and advisory assignments with involvement in her family company (A Class Metal Finishers). Other highlights include: service on the board of Engineering Employers Association and AiGroup; Industry representative for the SA Small Business Advisory Board, Safework SA and the Commonwealth’s $40m SAFSA Taskforce; State and National Director for the Australian Govt Enterprise Connect and Entrepreneur Programs, assisting businesses to improve their performance; Member of judging panel for SA Food Industry Awards.

His strengths include an ability to create a positive culture and stakeholder engagement combined with a strong understanding of Lean Sigma tools and techniques to deliver transformational change and achieve tangible results.
Simon Flack

Simon’s interest in continuous improvement was sparked during his 21 year career with the RAAF. He completed his Master of Business Administration whilst he was part of the Air Force Improvement Team, before joining Rio Tinto as the Lean Improvement Specialist in the coal division. He consulted to Chevron and Conoco Phillips whilst being part of the Canadian based RLG International, before joining Darwalla as the Business Improvement Manager in 2017.

Felix’ career highlights his practice in both the academe and industry. He began his professional practice at San Miguel Corporation as Logistics Coordinator and at the same time working with Batangas State University as IE Lecturer. He has continuously broaden his knowledge in Industrial Engineering and has earned him certification in different fields. He is a Certified Industrial Engineer, Lean Practitioner, Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt and Design Sprint Master. Currently, he works at a multinational company where he is heavily involved in various Continuous Improvement and Innovation programs. Concurrently, he runs his own consulting firm, Ask Lex PH offering value creation and optimization for individuals and organizations through application of Lean, Six Sigma, Design Thinking and Analytics tools and techniques.

Laura has more than 20 years experience in business and event management with expertise in office management, event management, membership, marketing, recruitment, account management, and social media. Her experience has covered a broad range of industries including sports, healthcare, education, not for profit and hospitality. As the National Manager Laura plays a critical role in managing the day-to-day running of AME.
