What Attendees Will See and Learn
The content of the workshop is based on the extensive learning of Barry McCarthy (current National President of AME) while working in development roles at Toyota. With the closure of automotive manufacturing in Australia, Barry is now sharing his unique experience and understanding with the broader community.
Who Should Attend?
Anyone interested in developing their individual or organisations thinking and decision making and continual improvement processes.
Managers looking to find ways to improve the speed and quality of decision-making and problem solving.
What You Will Learn and Practise
You will learn that there are 4 foundations of good relations … 4 things that you can do daily that will strengthen your relationship with the people who work for you.
We learn throughout JR that no two of us are alike, people must be treated as individuals, and that problems will arise that need to be handled because people are people!
The reactive aspect of JR is a four-step Plan-Do-Check-Act based pattern. The handling a problem side of JR is PDCA with a human element …
We then apply the four steps which are:
1. Get the facts.
2. Weigh and decide.
3. Take action.
4. Check results.
