WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This workshop series is for business owners, leaders, and managers in all organisations of any size and maturity. Those who want to understand the most effective ways to create and achieve targets by identifying the Critical Success Factors and the Key Indicators that can track performance. The differences between KPI deployment and KPI management methodologies will be discussed and explained in depth along with practical ways to implement them. The workshop’s name indicates the path preferred by the facilitator.
EVENT OVERVIEW
KPI management is adopted by many organisation, however it is not necessarily the case that it is being used effectively.
It is not good to judge by numbers yet so many managers do. A KPI is not a strategy and cannot be deployed as one (KPI deployment). Managing by numbers cannot implement reform or improvement. A KPI is a measure of a Critical Success Factor. Extracted from a business process. KPI management of this business process to achieve the KPI.
If you want to create an organisation that can continue to produce results in an ever-changing environment as well as develop your organisation’s management capacity then this workshop will be a great place to extend your understanding. No matter what strategy deployment method you use, they all suffer from the same difficulties in achieving both the plan and the expected results. KPI Management is a strategy deployment method in itself.
The framework of KPI Management is the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle and this course will use it as its foundation, and explain the procedures in each step. The scope of KPI management is broad but not the solution to everything. However, it has a wider scope than you might have first imagined.
You will also learn how developing a KPI management system will enable you to continuously produce results rather than one-off goals. Target achievement is not negotiable - the way that it is achieved is.
There will be an opportunity to start creating a KPI management framework for your organisation during the workshop.
No matter how operationally aware you are, or experienced in delivering results, this will be an opportunity to reflect on your current thinking and to learn something new from others. Post COVID KPI deployment is experiencing resistance and pressure, so now is the time to look at the different viewpoints this workshop offers on how to steer more quickly and flexibly with less control and information.
WHAT ATTENDEES WILL LEARN
Session 1 (1.5 hr online)
There are many different individual approaches to setting targets and managing their delivery, and they all have their own characteristics. - bottom up management vs top down deployment
- the important benefits and how to promote them
- understanding management by function
- improving the connectivity of what you currently have rather than starting again
- a brief introduction to business management systems
There will also be an opportunity to engage by asking questions and sharing experiences of your current KPI management style.
