Ian Macdonald, Solutions Engineer at Epicor
As a Solutions Engineer at Epicor Ian loves coming up with creative solutions to customer’s challenging business requirements, leveraging the full extent of Epicor ERP’s functionality.
With a background as an Industrial and Computing Engineer, he specialises in Epicor’s manufacturing and distribution functionality, as well as CRM and the configuration toolset.
He has worked on many Epicor ERP projects (over 150) including major companies and organisations such as Sistema Plastics, The Royal Australian Mint, Tieman, Valmont (INGAL), Genuine Truck Bodies, Bucher Municipal, Wilson Transformers and ITW Ramset.
This has included design of system architecture in consultation with prospects and customers, conducting implementation workshops, system configuration, and creation of the associated documentation.
He also enjoys getting his hands dirty with system customisation, C# coding, system integration, report customisation, BI Tools and SQL Analysis Services.
