Event Overview
This virtual Gemba walk will cover M2 Global’s lean transition story, you will observe goal deployment, team-based management, and lean processes, as well as lean tools such as setup reduction, and 6S in action.M2 Quality has gone over 10 years without a lost time accident. Production processes include high-precision CNC machining and sheet metal fabrication, electronic assembly, and final unit assembly.
You will learn about M2 Global’s team-based management system that drives a culture of lean thinking focused on continuous improvement. In addition, you will hear how the company is bringing lean concepts into the office environment and reaching out to their suppliers to help them become lean practitioners. On Day In this webinar, you will have an opportunity to share your observations, recommendations, and ideas with the M2 Global team.

Presenters
Chairman and CEO of M2 Global Inc., Doug Carlberg has over 30 years of experience in operations management in the commercial and defense industries. His areas of expertise include directing all lean manufacturing aspects of product development, production, supply chain, management, sales, and service. The recipient of numerous awards for excellence in manufacturing, he serves as president of the SW Region of AME and is on the board of governors for the Shingo Prize.
Senior director of business development for M2 Global Technology, Archie Wohlfahrt has over 30 years of experience in technology-related manufacturing. His areas of expertise include product development, strategic business improvement, business process re-engineering, just-in-time manufacturing, lean manufacturing, Kaizen process improvement, and team-based management.
A senior consultant with over 30 years of experience in project management and directing manufacturing operations, Mark de Kiewiet is proficient at using Lean manufacturing techniques to eliminate waste throughout individual value streams. His areas of expertise include project management, employee development, Lean implementation, new-business development, business re-engineering, strategic planning, product development, cost avoidance, profit growth, team leadership and participation, capital and business budgeting, and relationship management.
